I'm here, and my site works again!

Karagin, you can download my rules from there , and take a look at other 3025 remakes.

Good job Mordel.

Btw, I'm thinking of running a 'Mechwarrior campaign in 3025, in a border planet of the Free World Leagues, near Steiner space and the Periphery.

The general theme I want to conjure is the Middle Ages in space feeling with a strong Mad Max, post apocalypse survival feeling.

In short, I want something that has combat, but it's not a excuse to link Battletech games, something that mixes politics, military strategy, and economics.

The cast I have in mind is a noble in charge of the planet ( with luck a female player) that has no clue how things work and has to struggle with the responsibilities of the position with the aid of her advisors (the other players)

I'd like to hear ideas for the cast, and plot ideas, and whatever you think would make a good scene.

Thanks in advance.

Okay, make sure your players have one semi-rare mech in their company. They're minding their own business in transit to their duty assignment. When they make landfall they are met by heavily armed security troops and arrested.

While incarcerated they are shown video of a raid on a city in a different system by battlemechs identical to their own, with their own paint jobs on them.

Sound familiar Horhiro?

(waiting for the screams to begin.)

Okay, the opposition, in Horhiro's case it was house Davion, found out they had been hired. They arranged to have the unit's transit delayed and got a lance of mechs together to simulate the merc mechs.

The mercs had a Clint, so the Davion forces made sure a Clint was present and painted identically to how the Clint was last documented. I made sure that other mechs were close, but not correct. I.E. a Valkyrie, not a Phoenix Hawk. The evidence is there, but the mechwarriors have to figure it out. Depending on which house they are working for the attitude may be shoot first and ask questions later.

ok. only one problem with you damage system.

if a guass rifle hits a armor location with 14pts. it would do 1 damage correct.

if a guass rifle hits a armor location with 15pts. it would do 3 damage correct.

so wheres the level damage ratio there. all weapons should do a minimum amount of damage- 5/weapons normal damage = min damage

Wow, Vampire my hat is off to you... a plot that has more than just BattleMech combat.

Here is the list of protagonists for you.

The ruler... good choice

her palace guard commander, maybe a Colonel by rank? Preferably a veteran of some conflict, and since you are closet to the periphery and steiner, any original house allegiance works.

The XO, see as above

If you can muster and have the stomach for it... and the player to pull it off, a spiritual advisor to play the role of moral force upon the players. "My lord shouldn't you reconsider raising the taxes on the peasants? As is they don't have enough to eat."

Since you want the economics in this, a chief economic advisor. This though will prove tricky to implement and the rules for an economy, though extremely bare bones, are in MW 2, or plenty of other games... or perish the thought, real life.

Of course having yoru local spy to walk among the people looking for trouble is not a bad idea either.

Now to plot.

Ruler is new, and has no clue. There is a movement on the planet to change some of the relationship between those in power and those out of power. Look at oh, 15th century Italian states or 18th century France for inspiration... one of the opostion being called Robespierre though might be a tad too much of a hint with your players.

Hope taht helps.

Nadin

Vamp,

The best thing to do is make a flow sheet of showing who knows what and whom hates whom. Then drop the PCs right in the middle. A critical thing is to have some pineapples..... ask Alexx Knight and Ruger.... they are grenades from nowhere. All they are are decoys and minor sub plots or people from the past. This keeps them on their toes.

Example. So the best is competing powers trying to take control. Both directly, force, and indirectly, politics or economics. Always have a outside player mucking things up. This allows fot much roleplaying and getting PCs out of Mechs.

AWAD- my flowchart of the CLassic Trajikis scenario is in a .pub format, the descriptions are gone though

Hello Vampire! Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive. Do you have Ruger's e-mail address by any chance?

And how is school? Have you graduated yet?

My e-mail is buck_hedges@hotmail.com

Storm

PS-There's a rumor I may even have the internet up and running on my computer sometime this year.
