provided as a fast forward scout and counter sensor unit. the Neko, proved incapable of handling all these duities at once. but instead of scraping the project, the Neko was divided into twin chassies/designs.
the first, the Onmitsuneko provides the detection and scout of the pairing. equiped with the same engine as the Balthazar, the Onmitsuneko is capable of speeds usually researved for light mechs. backing this up is Beagle Active Probe, giving this extremely light unit, unsurpased sensor suits. providing firepower is a single low powered laser, giving it little more then the assurence to pilots, there not weaponless.
the Gijouneko provids the cover from enemy sensors while the Onmitsuneko is searching. mounting the powerfull Guardian ECM, and a light powered laser.
with only speed, size, and ECM to protect them. most Neko units do not opperate solo, nor far from friendly support units like mechs and artillery.
