Overview:
The Smiling Jack Battle Armor design was a result of Inner Sphere technicians successful reengineering of a salvaged clan Sylph
Armor. The Smiling Jack is designed to have the same VTOL capabilities as the Sylph. The design also mounts a single snub-nose anti-armor laser on the right arm right below and behind the manipulator similar to the ones mounted on other Inner Sphere Powered Armors. And dual anti-personnel mounts attached to the left arm.
The “smiling jack” designation was given it because the lower jaw section of the head appears to be locked in a smiling position, showing a set of broad flat teeth. This was added as an after thought to make the Armor a more intimidating to the enemy.
