11 Freaking Oscars!!!
If I did, someone please point me to it.
Not my fav of the 3, FOTR would be my fav. But Kuddo's to Pete and the gang for finally getting what they deserve...Best Pix,and Best Director. Not that I put a lot into what the Academy always thinks, but still it's nice.
Can't wait for the DVD to sit down and watch the trilogy straight through.

I still liked the first one the best myself. The others were good though, and nothing to be ashamed of. I couldn't help but get the feeling inside that the reason they won all 11 was because everyone expected them to. Just a feeling...

I really felt that they were getting stiffed on the first 2 movies intentinally because they would have it all made up to them for the third movie.

IIRC many movie critics thought so too. They should adjust the award system so they could give Oscars to the whole trilogy instead of the individual parts. That would be fair.

I agree. given all the movies that have come out in the last 4 years there are very few that deserve so much attention. I couldnt for the any amount of money tell you what movies won best picture over either LOTR, with research I could but not off the top of my head.

I think "A beautiful Mind" beat out FOTR, and as for TTT, I think it was "Chicago".
