Question: Has anyone "officially" explained why now it is interpreted that no vehicle will be able to have more than one ammo bin per weapon on board? It sort of wipes out a lot of the usefulness of the spiffy new ATM laden Clan vehicles and previous usages of the old reliable L1 and L2 vehicles with standard autocannons that were able to use the special ammo types and select per ton bin.

I could almost see it for the ACs but not the ATMs as flexibility is what they were designed for, maybe there needs to be a reconsideration of the ruling or yet another munchy exception given for Clan equipment because it is always better?

Ah, what a hornets nest this one became.

First, when I answer questions on the board, I try very hard not to simply make rules changes because I can; i.e. I interpret the rules exactly as written in the rulebook. And after looking at all the available information, I came to the conclusion that the BMR does infer that vehicles can mount only 1 type of submunition per launcher.

With that said, I then failed to take such an interpretation into context (my error in trying to answer as many questions as possible that night) and realize that regardless of how it might be worded in the BMR, that is in error.

With that in mind, vehicles CAN mount different types of submunition per launcher, just as BattleMechs can; the FAQ/Errata that I'm slowly working on for the BMR will reflect that.

Again, I apologize to everyone for any pain this might have caused.
