I would do this up as a poll, but I would rather here the pros and cons from you folks on this one.
What do you folks think? Should vehicles be able to mount infantry support weapons such as the Recoilless Rifle etc...or not?

I think I suggested something similar to this once, at the old board. I liked the idea of a small Jeep with a Portable MG strapped to it, or the .50cal ontop of a turret on a tank, and such, as a small precision weapon.
We do it in the military now, why not in a thousand years? It's the poor man's solution to targeting computers, and gunnery stuff like that.

I agree, but with the following terms:
1. 10% of the weapon's weight must be added to the weight of the equipment to reflect it being mounted on a vehicle.
2. A vehicle can carry twice its normal item allowance in personal weapons.
3. Each shot weighs .01 tons (easy math); but, a bare minimum of .1 tons of ammo (10 shots) must accompany each weapon.

That reminds me, why haven't we seen any BV for the support weapons in TRO 3026?
If a rifle platoon does as much damage as it does, I just wonder about a gryojet platoor or a platoon of infantry in power lifters mounting portible PPCs would do.

I think that's a poor way of looking at it. Most infantry scale weapons would be so small as to be insignificant to the overall mass of the tank/mech. One could very well say that the inner sphere tanks have .50 cals mounted on them with a couple thousand rounds of ammo, but there is no reason to list such equipment because it is not fixed to the design, it is small in size, and it does not effect typical L2 play.

I was talking about stuff like the Man-Pack Particle Cannon, Squad MGs, Squad Anti-Tank systems, etc.
