Next week I'm running a 2vs1 game, and I'm setting the scenario back during the 4th War. However, I don't create scenarios much, so I thought I'd post my basic idea for you all and ask for feedback. Any advice is helpful.

Sides: Kurita and Liao vs Davion

Kurita Forces
Dragon DRG-1N 3/3
Catapult CPLT-K2 4/4

Tonnage: 125 tons
BV: 2,343

Liao Forces
Blackjack BJ-1 4/5
Vindicator VND-1R 5/5
Centurion CN9-A 4/7

Tonnage: 140 tons
BV: 2,300

Davion Forces
Javelin JVN-10F 3/4
Spider SDR-5D 3/3
Valkyrie VLK-QA 4/3
Wolfhound WLF-1 2/3

Tonnage: 125 tons
BV: 3,222

Scenario rules:
Davion player starts out in middle of mapsheets, with Kurita advancing from one side, and Liao on the other. Davion player must destroy a minimum of two 'Mechs, and retreat off his home map edge. Liao and Kurita forces will attempt to wipe out the Davion forces.

Davion Victory Conditions:
Crushing Victory: All Kurita and Liao 'Mechs destroyed
Shining Victory: 3-4 'Mechs destroyed, at least 3 Davion 'Mechs sucessfully retreated
Victory: At least 3 'Mechs destroyed, at least 2 Davion 'Mechs successfully retreated
Marginal Victory: 2 'Mechs destroyed, at least 1 Davion 'Mech successfully retreated

Liao and Kurita Victory Conditions:
Crushing Victory: All Davion 'Mechs destroyed, no 'Mechs lost
Shining Victory: All Davion 'Mechs destroyed, only one 'Mech lost
Victory: All Davion 'Mechs destroyed, two or less 'Mechs lost
Marginal Victory: All Davion 'Mechs destroyed

Its good, but i would contemplate giving the Davions a slightly better team, they will probobly get destroyed before they can kill two mechs. Some of them are not much use.

Good idea though. what kind of map sheets are you using? I would suggest hills or forests to give the davions the terrain advantage, or the chance to use it effectively, If the Catapault gets an easy line of sight its over very quickly.

Maps are random, and my opponents possess little or no tactical ability, so the Davions are meant to be at a disadvantage. Likely I'll try something hilly.

ohhh, well an enemy who isn't smart can be exploited.

That spider could really be handy, if you could jump it behind the catapault or one of the Liao mechs it would really cause a headache.

How many mapsheets are you using, i would suggest quite a few, it gives people alot of room for manouver. You could also bring the Morale rule into play (its featured in the Fall Of Terra Scenario Book and I think Max Tech) If a small davion force manages to destroy the enemy commander (chosen without knowledge of the davions) or the AFFS destroys alot of the enemy mechs they might lose heart, being overwhelmed by a small team would surely be humiliating.

Other than little ideas like that, i think you have a good scenario.
