From the CBT site. My job just put in a new proxy server. And it banned the CBT site. I can get to here and the HeavyMetal Pro one. and all my other boards. But the CBT is not allowed.
So. out of 12 diffrent boards. only Classic Battletech is forbidden. That is kinda funny really.

Can't you set up the preference to let you view it or is there something about the CBT site's coding that caused the new system to block it?
I ask because my friend views the CBT site from his work and they have one hell of a system in place to keep folks off of site that well should only be viewed at home...

The biggest problem with CBT that that the tech dept, has with it. is the fact that it shows IP address.
It is a lame reason. But still valid.

Use one of those sites that masks your IP address, like annonomizer.com or the like?

IIRC they still show the IP address even with the anyomous programs in use...I could be wrong.

I've ran into that same problem before. The web censor on CS started playing havoc with me every time I went there and Ravenheart's when it was still up (and the 3065 website JAG did), among others (even the McDonald's website.... jeez!). I finnaly had Ronin take it off, and it solved the problem.
Apparently, there is something with those sites themselves that is triggering the censors. Is it banning you from the whole site, or just aspects thereof?

The whole site. Cannot even get to the main page. The proxy server patrol stops the connection when I try.

So you'll be banned from here eventually too, because we track your IP as well, it's just not visible to everyone. Only chihawk and myself can view IP addresses.

But over there. The IP is posted everytime you post. So everybody can see it. That is never a good idea

I don't think that your IP being viewable is the issue as the only way they'd know it was visible is to go and check for themselves.

Or spy on my computer while I surf. Which has been known to happen.
But I do beleave you are correct. It may not be the IP. but something about CBT is pissing off my cyber patrol safty locks.
