==Overview:==
Despite the Hetzer's poor reputation as a combat unit, Quikscell
never-the-less made the decision to experiment on the concept behind the
machine.
One of the early units suggested was a unit known as the Slugger. Although
it had a similar shape it was 10 tons heavier than the Hetzer. The AC/20 had
been replaced by a Sniper artiller piece, and a pair of defensive machine guns
had been placed in a turret mount.
Although the machine is still little more than weaponry and armor plating
on a chassis, QS has at least learned a little. Most of the problems that
plagued the Hetzer have been solved, although the wheeled chassis still limits
mobility. In addition, extra stabilization gear has been added to the vehicle
to make it even more stable while it fires; the trade-off however is that the
unit is stuck in place while it fires.

==Capabilities:==
For those who make rules based on the fluff:

The stabilizer provides a +2 to-hit bonus for all shots from the Sniper
cannon. The trade-off, however, is that the machine cannot move during any
round in which the stabilizers are deployed. They may be deployed or retracted
as a free action at the start of any turn.

Shouldn't it take longer to deploy/retract the stabilizers? And considering the manufacturer, I'd not give a bonus to hit at all; at most, only +1. I'd rather say that the unit cannot fire the artillery piece unless it is stablized, and stabilization takes a full turn by itself (no movement, weapons fire from the MGs only).

Given that this is Quikscell, I'm sure that any GM out there would find ample excuse to play havoc on anyone using this machine.

I agree.. Quickcell has that massive reputation for shoddy work.

I mean look at their attempt at making a battlemech (shameless self promotion.. check out the custom TRO)

I'd say a +1 bonus and one round to activate or deactivate stabilisers. That's in addition to being a sadistic GM.
