==Overview:==
Helicopters have been used through out the years to help with numerous jobs.
using Helicopters to ferry injured personel is a age old practice.
==Capabilities:==
The Medical Helo is fast and heavily armored with a reinforced internal
structure. A mast mounted Beagle active probe is used to help locate troops
both friendly and injured. A crew of 3 is used to help with loading of injured
personel, there is also a Pilot, Copilot, and electronics officer. If any
thing happens to the pilot the co pilot is a fully certified pilot and can
step in and fill in for the pilot. As well as the 3 exta crewman they are all
certified as pilots and a general rotation is set up to keep them all up to
date in terms of flight time. The Medical Facility on the Helo is very small
and can only accomadate 2 injured 1 doctor and 1 nurse. There is also room on
each wing for a injured person as well, (this does reduice the top speed of
the helo and is not reccomended).

I don't really like it. You have a BAP, Ferro, and a fusion engine on what is supposed to be a civilian medical bird; it's too expensive and too technologically advanced. And the Karnov can easily be retrofitted for use as a military SAR bird.
*****
This here is a civilian medivac/SAR bird I did a few months ago. Note that the 5 tons of cargo bay capacity are supposed to be a MASH unit, and the .5 tons of miscellaneous equipment is supposed to be a FLIR system.
BattleTech Vehicle Technical Readout
VALIDATED
Type/Model: Dove
Tech: Inner Sphere / 3060
Config: V.T.O.L.
Rules: Level 3, Standard design
Mass: 15 tons
Power Plant: 70 I.C.E.
Cruise Speed: 118.8 km/h
Maximum Speed: 183.6 km/h
Armor Type: Standard
Armament: None
Manufacturer: (Unknown)
Location: (Unknown)
Communications System: (Unknown)
Targeting & Tracking System: (Unknown)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==Overview:==
Note: The only L3 part of this unit is the co-axial rotor assembly.
Everything else is L1. I did the coax assembly to make it more realistic.
Think of this now as having a similar physical appearance as the Chinook.
Surprise, surprise! This model is entirely civilian in design and use!
The Dove was created as a civilian SAR vehicle. To supplement this, the unit
has been given a sensor suite to be used in finding people, and a five ton
capacity cargo bay- plenty of space for a rescue team and those to be rescued.
To supplement these abilities, the unit is also able to move at almost unheard
of speeds for a helicopter.
In addition, the decision was made to leave some armor on the unit. This was
done for two reasons. The first is that it allows for rescues in environments
(such as forest fires or shoot-outs) which would possibly harm unarmored
units. The other reason is that in the event of a rough landing, those inside
can survive reasonably intact.
==Capabilities:==
Game Notes on the sensor array:
Treat the array as if it was a Beagle Active Probe for purposes of determining
if the person or persons can be spotted. Note, however, that the effective
ranges are now 1-2, 3-4, 5-6. A sensor ops roll at a +5 target modifier will
allow the pilot to successfully sweep out up to 9 hexes. Remember, this is
civilian gear that we're dealing with and it's only a third of the weight of
the real McCoy.
==Variants:==
It's been proposed that some Dove units be remodled for use as firefighter
helicopters. The cargo bay is large enough to hold the water/foam tanks as
well as sprayer mechanism, and the unit's armor would allow for it to get
close to the flames.
It has also been proposed that the unit also be remodled into a commuter
aircraft, owing to its speed and large cargo area.
Surprisingly enough, although the unit was intended for use as a civilian SAR
unit, some militaries have expressed interest in acquiring a few for their own
uses. Mainly, these are reserve and paramilitary units which don't have the
funding for Karnovs.
Some police departments have also expressed an interest in the unit; however,
some insist that hardpoints be mounted so that infantry-support weapons and
sniping weapons can be hard-mounted onto the unit itself. Mostly, these are
units to be used by SWAT teams.
