Primary Factory: Epsilon Eridani
Communications System: Army Comm. Class 5
Targeting and Tracking System: Army Corporation Type 29K with C3 Computer
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overview:

After several lances of their successful AS7-Z Atlases' were
sold, Kressly began toying with the idea of a C3 variant of the King
of Pain. The Draconis Combine had produced a few Atlas CM (commander)
designs, but none were too successful since mounting a C3 on the arm
is just begging to be shot off. Kressly is aware that producing a C3
master mech with plenty of firepower is not easy but with their bank
accounts filling up due to their sales, Kressly was ready to make a gamble.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Capabilities:

Basically the AS7-Z-CM is a AS7-Z with a C3 master. The AS7-Z had
plenty of firepower but the installation of a C3 system could easily
weaken the design due to the C3 computer's size and weight but
Kressly did some compromises and worked over the problem.

Most notable change from the AS7-Z to the CM variant is the
downgrading of the Doombud LRM-20 to a LRM-15 instead. Supplied with
2 tons of ammo the CM still has enough reloads for most operations.
The Doombud 15 still retains the Artemis IV which makes missile
volleys more accurate. Another omission is the flamer, which degrades
the CM anti-personal capabilities but then since its a C3 command
mech, it is not intended to wade into too many melees which is
acceptable. However, a single small bore ER laser remains which makes
the CM still a threat to infantry.

Other areas of the mech still remain similar, the Dragon's Fire
Gauss rifle still remains. Supplied with 24 reloads, the Dragon's
Fire can easily slice a mech's head cleanly off and there is plenty
of shots to go around. The addition of the C3 Master makes the
Dragon's Fire and even better weapon as the commander can lay his
shots far more accurately. The pair Harpoon-6S remains, serving as
one of the best close range weapons available and are comboed with
the quad of Hellion-V medium lasers. 1 of the centre torso medium
laser was made to face rear again so as to discourage rearward
biters.
Armor wise the CM does not disappoint like the AS7-Z or the
venerable AS7-D, 19 tons of Durallex Special Heavy give the Atlas
thick protection all over and coupled with a standard engine, the
AS7-Z-CM will keep on ticking. Ammunition storage has being taken
into account as well, Kressly smartly removed the LRM and Streak
ammunition out of the left torso and place them into the right torso.
Reason being that the C3 Master resides on the left torso and without
the presence of ammunition there, the CM will not lose the integral
C3 Master due to an ammuniton explosion.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deployment:

Currently a prototype, Kressly has already start advertising its
newest C3 design, it remains to be seen how popular this design would
be.

This is great. Especially considering how badly most of the TRO command 'Mechs suck. I think that putting the ammo and C3 in different torsos is a very nice touch.

yeah but i still cant get over the idea of having such an ammo intensive mech but hey, the old atlas was ammo intensive too.
