Okay what will happen when Rangar becomes the Khan of the Ghost Bears?
Will that change anything? Will it cause the FRR to merge with the GBD? Will the other powers of the Inner Sphere except it? What of the Clans? Will they understand and except the merger or will they view it as the GBs going rouge? Will we see the other Clans attack the Bears or not?
How will the Star League handle the unifaction of the GBs and the FRR?
Better still how will the WoB handle this seeing how the Clans don't need them to run the HPGs...
Will this merger lead to a war between the GBD and it's neighbors?

Fluff points toward FRR being absorbed into the Bears so yes to that part. An IlKhan would be needed to create a new bloodname, and there just is no reason for one right now. You have probably read the other aspect of my response on the other board so I won't go into that here.
I think Ragnar might go as far as loremaster but that would be it. Maybe a new tradition would be established. A FRR warrior bondsman becoming the loremaster to represent the FRR people and therefore integrate them into the Bears.

I truly hope that another IS bondsman does not become Khan. I think one is enough to show a great exception to the norm. If he does I can only hope a trueborn GBear takes him out quickly.

Interesting and if that happen, Rangar becoming loremaster, would that be a big enough step for him to help bring about the merger of the FRR and GBD?

either the loremaster post, or a FRR rep that holds a position like the one the star adders created to represent their freeborn.
Ragnar as loremaster would serve as a contact in the command structure and would make the FRR people feel like part of the bears rather than ruled by them. The loremaster does have some power, but not enough to threaten the ghostbears real structure of traditions. Making him a khan would probably result in a large number of bears feeling threatened by tooo much rapid change. The would result in trials on all sortds of pretext to remove Ragnar. _________________ Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side & a dark side, and strings also lie under it all.

Wouldn't that put Rangar more on the lines of Minrou and his role in the Nova Cats? Or would the postion be different from Clan to Clan? Would the Bears make a new post for him as to keep the good will of the FRR people or not?

Yes. It`s the GBs who merge with the FRR, not the other way around. Even bringing in all their civilians won`t make the clanners numerous enough to absorb the rasslers. Unless they confine themselves to living in ghettos and isolated enclaves, they`re gone in a few generations. The FRR will be stronger for it and there will be one less clan to worry about.

Question I have is how will the Star Legaue view this and how will the Wolves and the Combine also view this merger...
Also what happens to ComStar when this happens?

It sound like a true learning experience. Would Ragnar accept the Position and why?

Probably Ragnar won't be Loremaster, isn't that mystic monk Kurita already loremaster of Clan Nova Cat? But how about SaKhan of the Ghost Bears? In the fiction, Ragnar has never been the commander, but instead he's always been written as the right hand man to Phelan. Making him SaKhan would be a logical progression for him. _________________ "Those who beat their guns into plows will plow for those with guns..." -Thomas Jefferson

Wrong clan, Ragnar now belongs to Clan Ghost Bear, not WiE.
I do not see Ragnar becoming Loremaster as I do not see the Bears copying the Nove Cats. I also do not see him as kaKhan or saKhan. However the creation of a special post, such as representator of the people would be an option.
As a side note, has Ragnar passed the clawing ritual yet? The key to high rank in Clan Ghost Bear.
