==Overview:==
As part of the effort to rebuild the Federated Commonwealth military, several
old 'mech designs were given a major overhaul, implimenting recovered
technology. The Shadow Hawk was one of the first designs to recieve such
working-over.

==Capabilities:==
The 2H-2 boasts greatly increased mid- and short-range firepower, having
replaced the Armstrong J11 autocannon with a Blankenburg LB-X cannon, and the
Holly SRM-2 with a second Martell laser. Also improved were the armor
protection, increased to 10.5 tons, and the jump capacity, which is increased
to 120 meters.

First off, if this is an upgrade of an older SHD, you will need to drop the Endosteel. ES requires atleast a factory refit and as bad as a new production structure, which means your producing a new mech anyway.

Second, unless you increase the jump to 5, i suggest leaving at 3. 4 jump gives the same mod as 3, so it dosen't give that much benafit. Besides 5/8/4 just looks funky.

Overall, i like what your doing. It just has some fluff issues.

It's not a refit, it's for new production, to replace the machines destroyed in the Clan invasion.

ah ok, it was this line that made me think it was a refit:

In that case, my only complant is the 5/8/4. I suggest either dropping or adding a jump jet for/from the armor.

My only question is this though, why would the FC produce this if they already produce the SHD-5D?

I've got no record of that 'mech. I see a 5M, but that's from the Free Worlds League. Regardless, my response is: because I said so.

The SHD-5D is from Project Phoenix, 3067. Really nasty piece of business, packing 2 MLs, a RAC/5 and a SSRM-4.

The previous FC-specific version was the SHD-2D2, almost as crappy as the SHD-2D itself. Certainly room for a better version between those two.

Well, if the SDH-5D is from 3067, then it's still about 12 years off. In 3055, did they even have RACs?
