Just a couple of things:
This design is not meant to be the usual light 'mech. No, keeping in mind that it was deployed very early in 3050, it was to be a supplement to the Rifleman! It just ended up being very, very light. Which means:
A) it is not meant to be able to move as fast as anything in its own weight class.
B) being strictly fire-support and/or AA, it is NOT meant to face any other 'mech head on. It is meant to be a really effective and cheap 4th lance member!
Which also kinda explains the ERLL. I did offer two variants, replacing one or both with standard LL in the fluff. But it felt truest to its own story when deployed with ERLL!
Now, Motown, I know that you love light 'mechs and tend to stick mostly to them. And any that don't go fast enough will get poor marks. So this one wasn't for you, fair enough, I fully appreciate it! Would you feel inclined to comment on this design which I posted at the same time as the Rifleboy? Ok, it is just outside of the light weight class, but you may like it more. Though it also does not fall exactly into the category which you probably prefer.... Here it is, the Conceptmech:

I gave it a 2.5 good but not great It has decent speed for its class and I like the maxed out armour and the fact that it has enough heatsinks to cover everything. but the weapon throw wieght is somewhat weak fo a 40 tonner. I think it is a medium trying to be a light.

Well, in a way, yes. More of a hunter-killer design - it does have more armour than any light. It is as fast or faster than the majority of lights. It has a single gun that makes most lights worry.
What do you like to see in a light? Just generally. Maybe I'll give it a shot to try to make one for you that you'll actually like.
Of course, everyone seems to have their own set of patterns that work for them. I just hate IS XLs, for one, can't ever bring myself to design anything that fields one, no matter what benefits!
