Ever I first mounted up a Kit Fox in Mechwarrior 2, I've always had a special place in my heart for it.

Actually, ditto! However, I realise that I least use the Kit Fox out of these, so I couldn't bring myself to vote on it. Though I genuinely think that all configurations have merit. But when this one is compared to the next one, it is just, well, weaker:
The Adder is the lightest BATTLEmech out there, in my opinion. A great and timeless design (see what happened when the Jade Falcons tried to "improve" it - it yielded the Cougar - blech!).
But really, if I drop this light with Clan forces, I will tend to use the Mist Lynx. Probably the B variant, in an almost classic role similar to the Wasp or bigger Javelin of old. That is why I gave this one my vote. I also actually think it looks pretty good.
I used to like the Firemoth - I've come to loath it. Mainly because it has so many champions. But it's armour is light to the point of becoming a fatal flaw. A single hit from any larger weapon (which have a great reach, thus low range modifiers) will cripple it. And in lvl2 play, you can only get a +4 movement mod with this one..... Oh, and don't tell me that the D is valid, because that one is plain cheesy.

Out of these, I like the Mist Lynx the best, although the Fire Moth comes in second...I love a "Firestarter config" I did with the Fire Moth...2 ER MLs, 4 flamers, 4 LMGs with a half ton ammo and an ECM suite...run down those PBI's and shake and bake 'em!!!!

Out of the choices given, the Adder. There's something disturbing in a light mech that can go up against IS heavies and win.
But the best clanner light mech is the one burning on the horizon.

I love the dashers speed yes its armor is sup-par but its weapons make it feasome

I chose the Uller (Kit Fox). I like the looks of it. I also like the fact that it's the lightest canon mech to mount a gauss rifle. Not the fastest nor the most heavily armored but a nice all around light mech.

Adder. The Prime config is one of the canon 'Mechs that has nothing I can complain about or want to tweak; it's just perfect. And again, I prefer its looks.
The other reasons, as mud says, are quite obvious.
