This is what I do during a break from studying for exams. Sad, isn't it?

And no, this one isn't really any more practical than the Demolishacorn. Who'd buy it? As for the original SSRM Carrier, this one has the same flaws - crappy range and speed. And the same advantages - godawful firepower and crit seeking. Hey, it even has a long ranged weapon. Sort of.

Two more heat-sinks and ER laser instead of two tons of armor may be useful.

Being ambushed by a hidden Super SSRM Carrier could surely ruin your day.

But how many Hetzers can I get for the same money? 128, that's how many! Or 58 of the LB-20X Hetzers powered by a fusion engine. Even when counting in crews for those Hetzers I'd get a lot more oomph for my C-bills.

I know. And with a dozen smaller tanks, I could get this armament and more, at a higher speed, for a fraction of the price. I did say from the start that it was impractical.

Personally, I'd swap armor for more ammo. 12 shots a launcher isn't much on a purely support unit.

Heh. And without trying to go 2/3, it becomes cheap enough that someone would consider buying it.

And I agree with Seraph. Losing some armor (perhaps 3-4 tons or more) for ammunition would give it a little more staying power. Especially since any specialty munitions will cut down on the number of salvos per ton. Just imagine having this thing blasting into a lance with four LRM 20s, and surrounding the lance with Thunder-Augmented rounds with the other four. And maybe a few of those level three inferno LRMs for good measure.

Get some Firestarters or any fast light lances with lots of Inferno Streaks to stir up the hornets nest and throw in some Heat Seeking LRMs for a good measure.

ah i forgot Streaks cant carry inferno. I keep remembering the inferno streak SRM2s from MW2.

Another possibility if you don't really want to compromise between armour and ammo you can add a trailer hitch to the rear and give it an ammo trailer. Given, it's not the greatest solution, but one what works.

Not an effective solution really. You can't convince your tank crew to stop and transload ammo during a fire fight. Also the trtailer makes a wonderful target for the more explosively inclined.
