Has anyone here heard of it? Has anyone ever participated in it? ICER, I'm assuming you've read about it in KODT.

I believe it was in the early #60s, I'll dig it out and get the exact numbers. It shows up first in the "cries from the attic", and then in a later mag as a regular KODT strip.

Geo-Caching, by that issue, is where a person 'hides' a trasure trove at a certain global coordinate, and then posts it on the net for people to find. There is a limit usually on what you can take, and as a rule you must leave something else in return.
In that issue, Sara gets everyone hooked on it, and Brian even puts up a trove of professionally painted minis- which (to the surprise of B.A. and Sara, as well as the other two guys) Brian is actively defending with a large wooden stick.

I have heard of a game called "Letter Boxing" that is supposed to have a following in Britain of about 15,000 and is supposed to be played currently on all the non-antarctic continents.
Someone hides a letterbox out in the middle of nowhere and I think the players get a set of GPS co-ordinates and some clues for the area where the letterbo is hidden. They either take something from the box or leave something in the box to prove they found it.
To find this letterbox requires research into the local geography and history of the area the box was hidden in. So the real reward in the game is not finding it, but the search for it and the knowledge you gain along the way.
