Okay I was playing around with PRO and entering in some of the Solairs VII mechs, some of which don't quite work, but that may be for a lot of reasons, anyways I noticed that a lot of them make decent normal daily use mechs outside of the arena.
So I started to redo a couple and well endup with the following, no major fluff right now, but let's go with Kurtia using it as a heavy scout mech.

This is no scout ! Its an infantry company greatest nightmare ! 9/14 speed, 5 machine gun toting and 0 heat problems with ER weapons and a TC can even make it deadly against some of the smaller mech chassis.
The armor is neat but a light mech is still a light, so don't go into slugfests but you can make a swift run for the rear armor and let loose.

HEHE! Yes it's major threat to infantry...I could see certain planets buying this for police duty. LOL!
You are correct on the armor. It's still a light mech, though some really good hit and run attacks should give a lot of mechs issues with this one, or so I would hope.
