Note: Use to be Marlboro then decided 1) It was a weak name 2) Mulkosaur is actually original and heck may have killed a few of you inthe old telsa pods before VW went the way of clickytech and dumb down there version of Battletech. 8)
And is it okay to post Megamek here? I know we had the death to clicky tech thing going down but I'm figuring this stuff is okay as it is just a pc translation to the tabletop.
Well first off hope everyone is doing well. I see some old faces and some new ones. Glad to see the place going after all these years.
So yesterday a friend of mone loaded up a java type program called Megamek and was showing me how it worked. I love it all the stuff that was Battletech minus the tabletop but with all the excess stuff sucked up time. So while you don't get to eyeball your opponent the fact that a lance can duke it out while I relax and have a drink is a plus.
Only thing is he was showing me a league type setting that was level 1 play. Not that level 1 play is bad but they had no hovercraft, vtols, and people were looking for just straight up mech vs mech.
While I am not opposed to level 1 I am opposed to such a narrow slice of Battletech as I cut my teeth on old CityTech and do like my vehicles and extras.
Can anybody direct me to some kind of league set up that some of the veterans around here find suitible to play? Heck maybe Mordel or someone is running one themselves? Overall I totally will most likely suck at it but heck I haven't played in forever.

Well, I don't know about leagues and what not... but when I get a bit more settled into new job and catch up on my bills I'm going to go back to campaigning. I've already ran, well attempted to run hehe, 2 campaigns started here at the B&G. Both times RL reared it's ugly head and killed my plans, but when we could play it was fun. So anyways thats what I'm working towards at the moment, getting into a new place and getting my MM campaign running again. As for the interim... well if you can host we can play some mess around games

I have no trouble figuring out what a Mulkosaur does, but then I speak Finnish. 
MegaMek has been discussed before and the moderators didn't mind. In fact I think some of them had opinions on it too.

Heh, Mordel's response was basically to go to the MegaMek homepage and use the forum there hehe. But what I had meant by having one here was to have it as a sort of B&G ladder & friendly game area for users here. Like what was asked back in the first post in this thread
