Not every flaw, it doesn't have weapon that lacks ammo to be really useful, it isn't over armored and over sinked (that would be counterproductive )

Normally I'd agree... but they are some mech types that don't benefit from max armour, and this mech would be an example of where too much armour is just a waste, therefore it could be overarmoured.

How in the world does a mech not benefit from having max or near max? Sorry there is no mech that benefits from to much armor coverage. Too much armor is really a myth.

A mech can be Overgunned, over heatsinked, or even to fast. having to much armor is never something you will see a mech with. Most of the time I would rather bolt on more. (even when the deesign has max armor).

True, but the flaws you have included are far more common (except for the low ammo).

I think he's referring to something like the 55 ton chassis - where the final point of armor takes up a full half-ton. On a 55 ton 'Mech, max armor is kind of a waste when you can go one point less and get a half-ton for something else.

Edit: Spelling.

Exactly. In addition to that, there are also the utility mechs, which benefit from some armour (workplace hazards) but most definitely not from max armour. In that case it's just a waste of money and perfectly good armour plating.

Oh lord. Ill spend the extra half ton on the 1 point. (usually I dont have any free slots for the superfulous small laser anyway).

Utility mechs dont really count when were talking about combat units. A utility mech with full armor is alwys goign to be a waste.

But I guess my point is, I prefer mechs with 100% armor coverage. I will go NO less than 90% when I armor a mech. If I have to sacrafice .5 tons to do that I will. Every time.

Well, for less than four points I wouldn't, but I really meant overmaxing the armor (if that is the word).
