I found this in one of my older mech design folders. So I dusted it off and updated it a bit. Its not flashy but useful, and cheap. But it is a ammo explosion waiting to happen.

==Overview:==
The Green Beret is a newer Davion design that has languished on the drawing
boards till recentely. Originally mounting a pair of PPC, The new design
replaces them with a pair of Ac 5's and large ammo bins, the ammo bins can now
use the new ammo being created by Davion weapons manufacturing.4 Lrm systems
give the Green Beret its long range punch. But in an odd configuration. Paired
LRM 5's with a ton os special munitions for each launcher and a Pair of LRM
10's with 2 tons of standard munitions and 2 tons os special munitions per
launcher. 4 Medium lasers round out the weaponry.

It looks like the mech is built around special ammo types and there it seems that it will deliver it's share of damage to the fray. I think that it would use some long range energy weapon, but everything should be alright as long as there is stable source of ammo at hand. Weapons looked a little light at first glance, but it isn't that bad.
