Okies well I was a little bored tonight so I decided to do a little goofing around with the clan equipment. Its one of my few (if not only) designs with a pair of LG pulse weapons, as I am not a big fan of the pulse. Anyway it needs fluff which I will add later but tell me what you think.

Oh and does it actually say in the handbook that a OMNI cant have a gauss erppc or ac with a hand actuator? I really dont ever remember reading that? I would look but all my books are packed right now and I dont have access to them.

What's wrong with Clan LPLs? They're perfect weapons, so perfect that clanners shouldn't waste time and resources on other large guns. Ah, I see the problem now...

The mech you posted looks deadly enough, but I can't well comment on the mech as an Omni. At least not before you post the Base Chassis for it.

Yes, in the "designing an Omni-mech" section of the BMR. It's under the heading "Actuators".

Hehe I have a nother version that is a little slower and has erppc's. but cant make that one an omni and keep the hand acuators. What an odd rule. But oh well. I may not make it an omni now but well see. It also completely destroys my fluff, so back to the drawing board, er HMPro that is.

It shouldn't destroy your fluff.

Make it an omni and live without the hand actuators when ERPPC's are installed. So what you can't pick anything up. With your firepower your not leaving yourself much to carry away.

Your LPL design is nice. I like it. Simple and efficient.

Biggest problem is it becomes a heat hog, and cant use its main weapon very effectively. The original design was 5-8 with around 15 or 16 ds. This one is a bit faster. I generally like to have a lower tonnage mech be able to use its main weapons with little heat issues then become a bracket fighter as it closes the range.

Well, you can always move PPCs to side torsos ans SRMs to the arms.

This would leave you with arm actuators in place, PPCs in well protected location and allow you to fire big guns while the target is away (easier to keep in front arc) and fire SRMs (or something that you have for short range) while you move around the enemy.
