According to the link above, the official Galoob / Hasbro name for the vehicle is the Puma.
Is it just me, or does it bear more than a passing resemblance to the BTech Puma?

One big gun in a turret, two smaller guns to the front and no visible missile racks?
Must be the BT-Puma!

I've still got one of those. The silver/blue one.

One of those looks like it has the Waco's Rangers insignia on it. The upper left photo, I belive. I cant quite be sure, but its awfully close.

It isn't; that's supposed to be a large star flanked by some smaller ones.

Yes, it may look like Puma.
Anyone likes the tank? (95t, PPC, 2 MLs and 2 LRM 20s that face side arcs)

Now the question is - is it coincidence or did someone copy the image?
According to the cardbacks I have, the MM Puma's first US appearance was in 1995 (however, it may have a 1994 date stamp; Galoob often copyrighted their vehicles a full year before their first introduction).

No! It´s really ugly and the sidemounted LRM´s weren´t very usefull to me (Can´t shoot them at one target and you´ll have to offer your opponent your side!)!

I don't like it either, but it gave me an Idea. Tank with better speed and side mounted weapons may be fun to play, using it like old sailing warship to pass around the enemy and firing while you circle around (terrain would be limiting factor, but as hover tank ...). It would allow you to keep your mobility and enemy in your field of fire.

You can do this with a turret too! And if you want to have weapons firing to both sides you don´t need another set of weapons!

Of course you can, but without turret it would be more difficult to use the vehicle any you can move turret armor to your sides. It's just an Idea, but it may be fun to play once (or twice )

You mean make a tank that acts like an old iron clad?
Isn't that what they planned with the original tanks from WW1?

Yup that's it. As I thought about it, VTOL would work well too (like UH 1 with open side doors)

It isn't V.T.O.L., but it would work in BT.
