This is my try on the predecessor of the Legacy as it was mentioned in its fluff!

==Overview:==
The Rising Star was produced in low numbers during the first Star League and
discontinued because it did not fare well.
     Later it´s targeting system had been proven faulty but the Succession
Wars ended all intentions to put the Mech back into production!

==Capabilities:==
     As most old Star League mechs it didn´t incorporate much advanced
technology. 
A good mix of weapons guaranteed a high damage curve and the heavy armor
combined with a standard engine and CASE made it hard to take down! With its
good heat dissipation capability (despite carrying standard heatsinks) and its
jumpjets the Rising Star would have been a dangerous and tough fighter but its
faulty targeting system doomed it!

==Variants:==
     Some 300 years later Skobel found the original design in its
data-archives as it looked for new ideas for an assaultmech for the Word of
Blake forces.
So the Rising Star was reborne as LGC-01 Legacy!

==Deployment==
     The Rising Star was build only in small numbers for the SLDF and none of
them survived the First Succession War.

Nice thing, with good armor and weapons for almost lvl 1 mech. It can keep it's weapons running without drastic overheating, but in SL era it needs something to cover it's approach (What about an Archer?), because there are still ER PPCs, GRs, LRMs and other long-ranged weapons around. I would like to see it in a duel against the Crockett.

If there wasn´t mentioned "standard AC´s" for the Rising Star in the Legacy-fluff i would have taken LB10-X´s!
So it looks like a short to medium range brawler!
