Check out the website for the complete listing of Battletech events being held in Mansfield MA, Feb 22-25.
www.totalcon.com
They didn't list the gms in the game descriptions, however I know they will be gm'd by Mordel, Chihawk, CSS Herod, Firebee and myself.
Hope to see you there!

Is it just me or are the rules for The Race completely wrong? They are actually the rules for Warmups, which they obviously should not be. Sigh... freakin' TotalCon.

I sent them a correction e-mail...let's see if it gets fixed.

After IM'ing with Mordel for a couple hours we've decided to stay off site.
Mordel got a decent deal at a nearby Residence Inn for a two bedroom suite that includes free hot breakfast buffets. Comparing the costs of eating all junk meals vs being able to prepare some healthier ones in our kitchenette it makes the prices very comparable.

The Residence Inn is only 1.5 miles down the road and the AAA rate for a 2 Bedroom suite with living area, 2 Queen beds, 2 Bath and a kitchen area was $134/night.
Now, I'm not sure how good the free hot contintental breakfast will be, but I'm willing to find out. I've never liked the Holiday Inn from the first time I stepped into the place.
As Darryl indicated, after you break it down (including the free breakfasts and bringing your own food to cook) you're probably not spending a whole heck of a lot more. And that's asuming there is a con rate this year for the rooms and you're not paying $107/night.

I also figure there may be a better likelyhood to find some nearby bars or someplace to go after the games are over.

Excellent!
Looking forward to catching up with you guys there. I'll be there from Friday morning through Sunday. This is my 1st weekend away from the wife and kids in a loooooong time, so I hope to make the most of it!
I hope some of you pro's will come by my CBT event on Friday. My basement flooded so I haven't been able to get my regular game in, and I'm afraid of being a bit rusty.
I'm also running a Star Blazers Fleet Battlesystem event if anyone has a free slot and wants to try something different.
