Which of the new toys are compatible with Targeting computer and how much.

HAG is a cluster weapon, right? Can it be connected to the TC to gain -1 bonus, but it can't be used to make called shots, or how it is handled? And the other stuff?

I do not have my book, but pulses can not be added to TC. UAC if single shot can use the TC modifier or the amied shot. RAC I do not remember if you can use TC with single shot. LBX is standard ammo can use TC. So if it is not a single shot and pojectile you can not use TC.

AWAD- like what they did with TC

Actually that would render many designs illegal, even those designed under new rules. The TC is compatible with pulse lasers but can't target specific locations. Or so I have heard (read) here.

I would especially appreciate the HAG info, since I want to have them in HMPro. I was working on HAG configs of several omnis and with Warhawk it would be a problem since it HAS to have a TC. No 'Mech currently fields both TC and HAGs at the moment (thanks to jymset for 3050U examination, I'll have to wait a few months before I get my own copy) and so I couldn't guess that from TC tonnage.

Pulse lasers and rapid-fire weapons (RAC, UAC) can still use the TC to get the -1 to hit, but not to make aimed shots (except rapid-fire weapons using single shot!).
From the new stuff following weapons can use a TC as normal:
Light AC's
Light and Heavy MG
Nail/Rivet Gun
Plasma Rifle
Light, Heavy and Snub-Nose PPC
AP Gauss Rifle
HAG's (not sure if you can use it for aimed shot as they are Cluster weapons)
Heavy Lasers
Micro ER Laser

Short: All with the DE or DB designation, but without the R or P designation.

Well, the LB-X ACs work with TarComp when thy fire standard rounds, but not in cluster mode. The HAGs are cluster as well...

Logically it should be this way but i didn't found precise rules about that in Total Warfare. (Maybe i'm just blind!)

Page 143

"Pulse and Rapid Fire Weapons: Pulse and Rapid fire weapons may not usea targeting computer to make an aimed shot, unless a rapid firing weapon is firing a single shot"

What is HAG?

Page 114 talks about rapid firing weapons.

AWAD- OK so TC + Pulse is still legal, but no targeting

Hyper-Assault Gauss

Clan weapon that combines standard gauss rifle with missile-like weapons. It's a direct fire projectile weapon and a cluster weapon as well.

My personal opinion on these is that clans salvaged a working Heavy Gauss and a few tons of Light Gauss ammo (there is always a lot of LGR ammo, but HAGs run out of reloads soon) and since they weren't aware of what the weapon does they stuffed some LGR rounds to the HGR and pulled the trigger Wink

It's in errata, the TC is compatible with HAG, but it doesn't allow to target specific location.

www.classicbattletech.com/index.php?action=text&page=Total_Warfare

Hyper-Assault Gauss Rifle (p. 136)

There are several sentences on this page that are brownish in color; fix.

In the “Critical Hits” paragraph of the first column, there are four instances of the word “gauss.” All four should be change to: Gauss

After the “Flak” header in the second column, add the following #5 header paragraph:

Targeting Computer: This weapon can use a targeting computer when making attacks except for aimed shots (see Targeting Computer, p. 143).
