underused treasure or flop in technology?
i personly see it as an underused technology. for 1t more your missile launchers [mainly lrms] get a drastic boost.
looking at the numbers, putting a ART on a lrm 10, boost it into the average range of an lrm15's damage. all for a ton less, with more shots, and less heat.
whats your opinion?

If I'm using a 'Mech with LRMs and I have extra tonnage, then I throw it on. But I don't usually add it right off the bat. Although I do personally think that +2 helps a lot to the # of missiles that actually do hit. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

Does a ECM affect the ATM loads? I cannot find it anywhere in the rules that say it does not.

The ATMs have hardwired Artemis systems, no reason they shouldn`t follow normal rules.

ATMs have Artemis, ECM nullifies Artemis. Simple

I personally love the ART IV. I believe it's a definate must on LRmissle boats, and even Mechs with support racks of 10,15,20. (not a big fan of the LRM5) I do however like the streaks rather than ART IV for the SRMs.
I was just thinking that a new tech upgrade would be kewl, the ART V giving you a +3. How many tons? 1.5?

There is an Artemis V system available in
HMPro if you select Clan Level 3 Tech.
Weight 1,5 tons, each AV unit takes two critical slots in the launcher`s location.
I have no idea where it came from or how
big a bonus it gives you. MaxTech perhaps?
Oh, it seems to add about 250,000 C-Bills to the cost of the launcher. The ammo goes for 150,000 per ton. Better hope it whoops arse.

Yup, it's from MaxTech. And it's a beaut. +3 on the missile chart as well as a -1 to-hit.

Ahah! That's what I get for not reading up on my MaxTech. D'oh! _________________ "I have lived my life trying to be a virtuous man. The Dragon admires tenacity, and the code of the samurai upholds it as well." -Minobu Tetsuhara

No, you can't. Artemis is itself a special ammo so you can't.
