==Overview:==
Although based on an arena mech design, the Morpheous II represents a fairly
awesome unit. As such, it was only a matter of time before Independence
Weaponry sought to obtain an exclusive contract.

The designers of this version decided to go with the original unit's main
strength: it's high speed for its size. This, coupled with its existing
electronics, led to the decision to go ahead and make it a high-speed heavy
recon/raiding unit.

Endo Steel was added to make the frame lighter, thereby freeing up a great
deal of weight. TAG and a C3 Slave unit were added to help bolster the
electronics already on board. The positioning of the Slave in the head,
however, forced the medium laser to be moved; this gave the designers an
excuse to move the AMS ammo into a side torso where it could be protected by
CASE.

The arm-mounted pulses were downgraded to mediums, freeing up enough tonnage
for small lasers and RL 10s to be added; these not only allow additional
firepower, but the RL 10s give it some longer-range punch. 

Additional armor is added, thereby providing greater protection for the unit.

==Deployment==
While this mech is largely meant to fill gaps within the DCMS, the Combine has
surprisingly allowed select mercenary units and Solaris VII buyers to purchase
these mechs; this is most likely due to the nature of the agreement.

I would avoid this in most situations.

The RL 10s allow it to sting an enemy unit from range, while the lasers give it a modest punch should a pursuer manage to close.

Aehm, I was talking about some real weapons. This 'Mech weights 65 tons and is armed with a lot of EW equipment and three MLs, three SLs and two RLs. Seriously this 'Mech is really inefficient and I doubt that the Combine can afford another Charger, especially if they have access to Tessen.

If I may suggest something then at least give it ER weapons, and maybe the TSM, if there is space left for it.

==Overview:==
     Although based on an arena 'mech design, the Morpheous II represents a
fairly awesome unit. It is little wonder why the Capellans have recently begun
production of a similar looking and operating unit that has blatently been
called the Morpheous III despite Independence Weaponry's exclusive contract to
the Morpheous design.

==Capabilities:==
     The Capellan designers decided, as well, to go with the original Solaris
unit's main strength: its high speed for its size. This when coupled with its
existing electronics led to the decision to go ahead and make it a high-speed
heavy recon/raiding unit, much like the reports on the Morpheous II redesign
that the Draconis Combine has undertaken.

     Unlike the Kurita design, the Capellan Morpheous III does not use Endo
Steel to make the frame lighter. Instead, the design team reduced the overall
size of the frame from that of a sixty five ton frame to that of a fifty-five
ton frame.  This has reduced the over all mass of the frame while at the same
time reducing the weight of the various components used within the chassis.
Additionally, a VOX 330 XL fusion engine replaces the heavier special order
fusion engine.

     Like the Kurita design, a TAG unit was added to help bolster the
electronics already on board. Additionally, the team moved the AMS ammo bin
into a left torso where it could be protected by CASE and renovated the unit's
internal layout to allow for the addition of Stealth armor.  The jump jets
have all been moved to the shoulder mounts, and the electronics packages
gathered in the right torso. 

     As for the weapons, the arm-mounted medium pulse lasers were exchanged
for a pair of extended range medium lasers.  Additionally, the head mounted
medium laser has been down graded to a small pulse laser to retain the unit's
anti-infantry capabilities.  The designers used the various weight savings to
add a small laser to each arm and mount a 5-tube LRM launcher to the left
torso.

     The final design aspect is the addition of Triple Strength Myomers that
can allow the design under certain conditions to operate at higher speeds and
inflict more damage in physical exchanges then parent and many other
recon/raiding designs.  This along with the other various changes goes on to
make the Capellan Morpheous III a powerful and versatile front line design.


==Deployment==
     The Capellan design has yet to and is unlikely to see public production.

I would try this if I wanted all those electronics on 65t chassis. Arms were left free for brawling.

Okay the mech is okay...again I am not a big fan of the RLs on mechs, but you do make up for their being there in spades with the other weapons and extra goodies.

This one would be something running around the Chaos March/Terran Corridoir area...yeah I could see the Wobbies using this one...
