An example of a standard NUSSR cargo vessel. It is purposely low tech to allow the fledgling factories and economy the ability to build it. It was likewise armed do to the volatile nature of the Chaos March but is not intended for combat. At best it can repel a light pirate craft or a aerofighter looking to exploit an easy target.

     Tech: B
Weapons:
     AC/10 w/Ammo 80 = 20t (T4)
     AC/5 w/Ammo 80 = 12t (T1)
     LRM-10 w/Ammo 288 = 44t (FL, FR, RL, RR)
Equipment:
     Docking Thrusters = 240t
     Field Kitchen = 75t (1 kitchens, 24 resupplies; 6 month supply)
     Helipad = 500t (x1)(T3)
     Lifeboat = 6t (x6)
     MASH = 3.5t (x1)
     Search Light, Mounted = 3t (x6) (FL, FR, RL, RR, T1, T4)
     Cargo, Standard = 4,000t

Notes:
The field kitchen are only crewed up to one kitchens but their are supplies to allow for 6 months of operation. Another rule modification.

The Helipad is on the Turret 3 hex and has no bay or lift. Any VTOL landing is exposed and considered external cargo as per the rules for units on the flight deck.

If this runs aground it will suffer 120pts of damage but has been designed to absorb such a blow head on. Thus the reason for so much front armor.

The fuel range is calculated on the distance from New York to London.

Structural Cost was modified based on a Tech B rating. I was uncertain if the formula asked for overall or only the highest of the three items in the formula. As only the weapons and turrets are Tech C i figured this was an ok rule judgment.

I like the overall stats. IT is a bit weak in side armor, but I would assume that in war time they would travel in packs like the WWII merchant marines. You might lose a couple but any attackers would think twice when faced by the massed defenses of 4-6 of these plus a couple of small escorts. Have you thought about creating purpose built escort craft? I am thinking small 30 to 50 ton weapons platforms that could re-fill from the main ships.
