It is being a while since I did a fluff heavy design, so pardon the grammar and English shall we ?
Basically the Omni version of the Grand Titan.

==Overview:==
When rumors of Kali Yama producing the Perseus was confirmed, Earthwerks
not wanting to be out done actually broke into the Omni market first, taking their
flag ship design, the Grand Titan and convert it into an Omni-design.
Christened the Omni-Titan, Earthwerks had high expectations.
However, the project was dogged with problems as several team members
have different ideas on how the mech should be designed. In particular, a
small group of scientists protest rather loudly that the Omni-Titan should
drop its 400 rated LTV XL engine otherwise the cost would be insane, but the
rest of the Earthwerks team paid no heed and proceeded with the original plan.
However, something happened and the rest of Earthwerks team never quite expect
it.
Be it blind stupidity or just being careless, the Omni-Titan design
team handed the blueprints to a rather disgusted scientist known as Damien
Falx who opposed the retention of the LTV 400 XL. Little did the main team
knew that him altered the plans before sending it to the manufacturer. The
Earthwerks plant duly hammered out the Omni-titan in record time but when
inspection came from the top, they realized their "dream" design has being
tampered with.
Original plans of the Omni-Titan require it to possess its Endo Steel
internal structure and 2 fixed double heatsinks in the engine. This was a bid
to allow as much free tonnage as possible for the mech to use as weapons.
However the disgruntled scientists tampered with the blueprints and excluded
the Endo Steel internal structure and added another 4 double heatsinks into
the engine. The end result was a mech with a little over 31 tons of pod space
which was laughable compared to the Perseus which boasted nearly 40 tons of
pod space.
Damien Falx was subsequently fined heavily, close to 40 million
C-bills, but thankfully he has the support of the opposing camp in Earthwerks
and they are helping him with this burden.
==Capabilities:==
With the ongoing drama at company HQ, not many HQ people focused on
the Omni-Titan, so several techs and a test pilot in Earthwerks plant took the
mech out for a spin and tried several designs. 31.5 tons of pod space greatly
limit the mech's ability to carry heavy weapons and the only real advantage of
the design was that it carried massive amounts of internal heatsinks, so the
techs went the most logical route, putting on energy based weapon.
The default configuration was simple and to prove a point. It
boasted 3 Kinslaughter H-Class Extended Range particle projection cannons. The
triple ER PPC layout was directly copied from the Awesome, as spreading out
the weapons will prevent less chance of a single hit destroying the entire
array.
Backing up the main heavy ERPPC array are a pair of Diverse Optics
Sunfire Extended range Medium Lasers at the left arm. The Omni-Titan still
retains its left hand for this configuration, allowing it to use punch attacks.
Lastly, a Diverse Optics Type small class Extended range Laser in the centre
torso rounds out the weapon array.
All these extended range energy weapons leave the pilot in the
sweat shop but the unique situation of the Omni-Titan takes advantage of this.
The massive size of the pod slots (due to the missing Endo Steel structure)
gave the designs plenty of leg room to equip the double strength freezers. So
the techs added another 8 double strength freezers and with the additional 16
double strength freezers in the modified engine, this allowed the Omni-Titan
to fire its main battery without overheating, ever. In total the mech carries
a whopping 24 double strength heatsinks alone in this configuration of which
14 are additional.
Armor wise, this design was improved over the original Grand
Titan, even though it was just an additional half ton of armor. Relatively fast,
well armored, the test pilot had a field day running around firing triple ER
PPCs none stop.
==Battle History:==
Despite it deemed as a failure, the design did well when compared
to it's forefather, often literally dancing around with nary a worry on heat
while the Grand Titan kept over heating. Simulation test with simulated
weapons and heat effects show the Omni-Titan being more consistent than the
Grand Titan.
The conclusive test came when two opposing pilots from decide to
have a match up to see. Earthwerks was confident that the Grand Titan would
snub out the Omni-Titan to prove a petty point against Damian Falx. The match
started off fairly even but the Grand Titan soon overheated and was unable to
engage at a range where the Omni-Titan default variant could dictate. The
Omni-Titan pilot kept running cool and repeatedly slamming the Grand Titan
with multiple triple ER PPC blast. Unable to keep up the opposing ER PPC
barrage, the Grand Titan pilot ejected leaving behind a mech that has nearly
80% of its armor reduced to liquid puddles.
This of course did not sit well with Earthwerk's leading techs.
==Variants:==
The A variant is designed for brutal close range fighting boasting 9
Diverse Optics Sunfire ER Medium Lasers for close ranged combat and a single
Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Large Laser. A single Model 2B Guardian ECM helps
auguments its defensive attribute. Also this variant mounts 4 jump jets to
give it manuverability. It possess the same amount of Double heatsinks as the
default variant.
The B variant is built around the Marik's love affair of the ER Large
Laser. This variant carries no less than 4 Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Large
Lasers. It has 15 extra double heatsinks being installed to keep up with the
tremendous heat generation. A Model 2B Guardian ECM and 2 Diverse Optics Type
ER Small Lasers supplement the mech for defensive measures.
The C variant is probably the only variant that isn't overloaded with
Double heat sinks. It retained the original variant but replaced 1 ER PPC for
a Imperator Automatic Weaponry Light Gauss Rifle with 2 tons of ammo.
Subsequently, the designers only installed 1 additional double heatsink. The
ER mediums and other 2 ERPPCs were retained, although the small ER Laser gave
way to a CASE that protects the mech from a Gauss explosion. C variant boasts
a higher attack range over the default although not by much.
The D variant contains a mixture of weapons, it boast a
Kinslaughter H-Class ER PPC, a Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Large Laser and a
Doombud LRM 20 slaved to a Artemis IV as it primary battery of weapons. The
Doombud carries enough shots for 18 reloads and the ammunition is CASE up for
mech preservation if there is a ammunition explosion. 3 Diverse Optics Sunfire
ER Medium Lasers round out the weapon array. It carries another 2 double
strength freezers to keep its main battery cool running.
The E variant is built similarly along the lines of the C
although weapon layout has being changed. It retains 2 Kinslaughter H-Class ER
PPCs but instead of the Light Gauss, it carries 1 Imperator Automatic Ultra
AC/10 with 2 tons of ammo that are CASE for mech preservation. Rounding out
the array is 2 Diverse Optics Type ER Small Lasers, it carries 1 extra double
heatsink.
Variant F is the only design that doesn't feature additional
heatsinks. Weapons are simple, 2 Diverse Optics Sunbeam ER Large Lasers, 2
Diverse Optics Sunfire ER Medium Lasers and a additional Diverse Optics Type
20P Medium Pulse Laser rounds out the laser battery. The main weapon is
Defiance Disintegrator LB 20-X AC, whose raw power let's it crack open most
enemy mechs. It is well supplied with 15 reloads and ammo is CASE up.
==Deployment==
More of a expensive toy than anything else at the moment and given
that Earthwerks will never endorse this "failed" design, the Omni-Titan future
remains uncertain. Reviews from Omni Titan test pilots are favourable, but not
likely to carry weight to Earthwerks decision.
The 35 million+ C-bill price tag certainly doesn't help either.
