Long story short?
Even though my business ethics class is only a bachelor-level course, the teacher is requiring master- and doctoral- level coursework; this is made even more pressing due to the fact that we're in the middle of the summer semester and so only have 10 weeks instead of the normal 16.
The centerpiece of this is a massive research assignment; I've been putting so much effort into getting that knocked out that I've been forced to neglect my other class this semester, something that is slowly coming back to haunt me.
Ever since I was young, the lining on my nasal passages has been abnormally thin. Yet since I was a child, I used to do things like pick my nose anyway. The end result is that my passages are now damaged, and so I will start bleeding if one of two criteria is met:
1. Additional damage is inflicted to my nasal passages, such as excess sneezing due to allergies.
2. I find myself under extreme stress.
Given that my allergies haven't been bothering me lately and I actually woke up with the clots already in my nose, that tells me it's stress. And the main thing I've been stressing about is that insane research paper.
So - short of actually digging the blood-soaked facial tissues out of the trash, how best do I convince my professor that meeting the criteria right on the dot isn't worth my health? And it's not like I'm slacking off, either; I've already got the paper 75% complete (I'm well ahead of everyone else) and I've completed about 85% of the other course work.
Thanks. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)

Get it completed in a fashion that gets you a passing grade and nothing more. There were plenty of classes I had where I did nothing more than what was required to get a 'P'. _________________ Mordel Blacknight - Site Administrator

you can also log an anonymous complaint with the department chair person if you feel such a course of action is required. _________________ one must work hard to cultivate the mind and body. and one must always cultivate the mind.

You'll know master's and doctoral level coursework when you get there. This is what is expected at most respectable bachelor's programs, summer semester or not.
In the meantime, like the others said, just pass the class and then file a complaint with the departmental chair. Also, you have the end of course surveys they always hand out; you can give them feedback that way as well.

She chickened out on the surveys; she actually brought them into class but never handed them out.
As it is, I ended up with a B in there. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat." Wolfwood to a random cat (Trigun)
