For one mission I'm looking to toss against the party, they'll need to seize a small country airstrip (the type you'd see single-engine planes and crop dusters fly out of) that the OPFOR is using as a helibase.
The airstrip is atop a plateau, thus offering a natural defensive position. To this end, the OPFOR have put up a series of fixed emplacements. Each emplacement will be a towed gun of some sort, its crew, and two additional soldiers (as security) protected by a hastily-erected framework of bricks, metal, wood, and camo netting. This framework is enough to keep the crew and the weapon safe from the elements and infantry. There will be a total of 12 emplacements: 4 AC/5 emplacements and 8 machine gun emplacements (2 MGs each).
For the emplacements, I'm thinking that the machine gun emplacements would represent about 10 points of armor while the AC/5 emplacements would represent about 20 points of armor; this would represent the framework, towed weapon, and crew inside.
Does this sound about right?
I'm going to give the party bonus XP if they can capture the emplacements intact (the party could turn around and use the emplacements themselves), but knowing them, they'll try to blow the emplacements. _________________ "I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat." -Edgar Allen Poe"I knew there was something special about you, but I never realized you were really a cat."
