A 3050 VIctor could take this easily, what with its Guass and extra movement.

IMHO, if you really wanted to do something spectacular you should have gone the RAC route. I'll have to check the weights, but IIRC you could have put a RAC/2 and a standard AC/2 in there for the same tonnage and crit space as the AC/20. Granted, you'd probably have to downgrade the PPC to a large laser so as to have tonnage for ammo; it'd be a fair trade-off, however.

You are right a high tech mech can take it down, but you missed what I was going for, I wasn't trying to build a high tech Victor, I was following the idea that CGL or FANPRO or FASA (pick one) set with the Atlas II, which for a lot of us isn't really something they should have tagged with that name.

So using some old ideas, I took a lot of the popular mechs and add the needed weight to get 100 tons, thus tagged a version II.

Going with higher tech weapons would change the mech just as was done to the Atlas, sure it's short range and medium range weapons improved, but it has gone from being something folks would fear to brawler instead of a breaker class of mech.
