==Overview:==
While a venerable design, the Lancelot is, sadly, but one of many older mechs
to have effectively fallen by the wayside as newer, more potent machines take
the lead. Its limited armament simply couldn't match what newer mechs boasted,
nor could its limited armor take the damage.

This new version, recently undergoing field trials, actually seeks to use its
status as "obsolete" to its advantage.

Rather than trying to compete with newer mechs in regards to firepower or
stamina, the new version takes a different approach. Relying on the mech's
speed in regards to its size, the new version instead envisions the mech as a
mobile fire support platform.

The array of energy weapons has been scaled back to twin ER PPCs, giving range
but at the cost of back-up weapons; pilots must be careful lest they lose
their arms. Endo steel structure and ferro armor have been added to lighten
the load, but at the cost of a heavily cramped interior space. An ECM suite
has been installed so as to make the mech harder to locate, thus giving it a
better shot at flanking opponents. And a C3i system has been installed so that
the mech can network with other units. Additional heat sinks have been added
to compensate for the heat curve, as well as additional armor for the sake of
protection. It's not perfect, but time will tell if it will at least work.

It gained some advantages, but I am not sure how well it will do in a fight against some of the newer mechs that are out there given its' limited weapon load out.

It is a good second line mech for the WoB or ComStar though.
