The hypothesis I had was simple: what if IIC designs were done as per the Inner Sphere mindset and by Inner Sphere minds?

Whereas it was once a simple and somewhat weak picket machine, the Scorpion IIIC-IS is now the stuff of nightmares. It can run, jump, and eviscerate any infantry, battle armor, and transports in its path. And whatever tries to kill it will have to contend with its Clan ER PPC and ECM suite.

With its twin Clan ER PPCs, the Goliath IIIC-IS is, essentially, a walking artillery platform. All the pilot has to do is find a good spot (preferably one in water so as to take advantage of the heat sinks in the legs) and eradicate all comers from a distance. And if anything is stupid enough to try and close, it's got machine guns and lasers to rip apart what little armor that anything has left.

I think this version pretty much speaks for itself.

Whereas the original Shadow Hawk was a commando machine, this one is Dolph Lundgren. Even if the OPFOR survives long enough for it to run out of ammo, there are still plenty of lasers left to finish the job.

its to slow. needs to be 6/9/6 to truely be an IS thought or have MASC.

The Assassin was supposed to be just like its name says it is: an assassin. Its purpose was to slip in, hammer a target from behind, and leave. In that sense, I decided to just simply fix some of its shortcomings rather than try anything radical.

The new Clan ER Large Laser gives it the ability to actually deliver a knock-out blow against light machines or units with weak rear armor. The flamer and machine guns permit the unit to shred infantry. Extra armor means that the machine can take a little more of a pounding before it goes down.

The Javelin is supposed to be high-speed fire support, and so I decided to improve on that. I used the XL engine to up the speed another notch, making it that much faster. I went with LRMs instead of SRMs to provide for actual long-range punch. I added an array of lasers and machine guns as support fire, so that if the LRMs run out of ammo the pilot still has something he can use to fight his way back to the resupply point.

I managed to put full jump, full heat dissipation, and nearly full armor on there. Whereas the standard version is little more than a "run & gun" type of unit, this one is now more of a "mobile fire support battery". The light active probe is just the icing on the cake, as it gives the machine limited ability to seek out its targets.
