You know, I love my Summoner. Giving it a new configuration will automatically make me view this submission very kindly. And I love PPCs and ATMs. Ok, the Summoner E is probably better (though more frustrating, with its mismatched launchers), but this one covers for the rather inefficient UAC5 quite nicely.
There are some minor problems with the design as it is presented: the discrepancy of fluff vs tech was already pointed out; then, you forgot to place all armour points; finally, you need to remove the arm actuators. But these are just little editing quibbles.
For the reasons above, I rate it quite highly. |

Unfortunately this variant never saw Golden Century because the ATMs are pretty new invention. The firepower is average, for clan heavy, but with this mobility it's good enough. Not bad configuration. |

I can find other ways to deploy an ER PPC. The ATM is good, but suffers from low ammo and high tonnage. The AC/5 is too light for to be a real threat to most anything. This would make a competent fire support machine, with mayne a ton of HE ammo for close defense. Still, for dedicated fire support, LRMs are superior to ATMs, as they're lighter and have better ammo and damage. |

I'm not a big fan of ATM systems, and I don't much care for the poor weapons load here. The only weapon worthy of a Summoner on this chassis is the ERPPC. |

The Summoner is a machine that has always screamed energy weapon monster with a minimum of ammo based backup, a missle launcher or two. ACs and Gauss are just too heavy in my opinion for this type of heavy maneuvering beast. This would be a good variant for a JF testbed of the ATM system, nothing more. |
