Nice try but not really good. The PPC gives a strong punch but the removal of all short range weapons will cause problems with enemies closing up. I´ve a variant of this in my unit: Rip out 2 heatsinks, put 2 JJ´s in and mount the medium laser back into the arm.

Oversinked and undergunned. This is just another failed attempt to modify the SHD. I don't know, maybe that the Combine designers lacked invention, but mimicking the Griffin is not the best way to go. It can handle it's heat, but still the GRF can do the same thing and unlike 2H this 'Mech will have enemy attention. Unless I desperately need jumping or some extra armor than I may take the 7K Trebuchet to do the same work (not that I like the TBT-7K either).

Interesting little varmint. I had fun with this in a merc versus Kurita battle. The 'Mech itself is oversinked, of course, but has the seeds of greatness. Mostly, just needs a few heatsinks dropped for whatever you fancy. I prefer MLAS and a few JJs. But as for this design itself? Hm.
Use it aggressively. Fire the PPC if there is ANY chance of hitting. Pretty much the same for the LRM/5. You don't have much in the way of weaponry, but at least you can sustain fire permanently. And you really ought to do so.
Despite that, this design, like the Griffin, is deficient up close. The only real bonus to this is, you can fire anyway, since you have the heatsinks for the risky shot with the PPC. Still, a Wolverine or a Shadow Hawk 2H is better suited for you if you suspect you may need to get up close.

This version isn't as versatile as the original, but it has allot of potential in specific rolls.
The prime roll I see for this Mech is probably a strike company command Mech. Possibly a support or light Mech killer roll would work as well.
The thing about this version is that you can't expect to use it as a stand alone Mech as it needs close range support. Aside from that it works well in the rolls that I stated before.

disappointing on its own, but a half way decent lance mate for hunch backs and other close in fighters.
Never run it solo though, its got too glaring a weakness.
The two spare heat sinks give it some room to play with in a campaign setting though.
