Overview:
    A new scout mech designed for the LAAF, the Thunderstroke is often christianed  "What the
    Razorback wanted to be". This is true to a certain extent with the weapon's package being
    almost the same but the mech has several refinements that makes it more useful as its role
    as a scout.

Capabilities:
    Although weighing another 10 tons heavier, the Thunderstroke has the same speed of the
    Razorback of 97 km/h which is pretty decent for a medium mech, armor protection does not
    disappoint either with 7.5 tons of StarSlab/6 Ferro-Fibrous.
    
    
    
    Like the Razorback RZK-9T, the Thunderstroke mounts 4 Defiance Model XI ER medium lasers and
    a Defiance 1001 ER PPC. A single Er small laser in the cockpit rounds out the weapons array
    serving as a point defence against infantry. The most important point about the
    Thunderstroke is its increased weight for a Guardian ECM and Beagle Active Probe both which
    make the Thunderstroke a superior scouting machine when compared to the Razorback.
    
    
    
    Lastly the Thunderstroke arms are flippable to the rear which makes it useful against
    ambushing or pursuing enemies, and a rearward facing ER PPC will surely discourage lighter
    mechs.
    
    
    
    Heatwise the machine still runs warm with only 11 double strength freezers like the
    Razorback RZK-9T which forces the pilot to practise fire discipline. Several variants have
    being appearing among the pilots who pilot the Thunderstroke with some men downgrading the
    ERs to mediums or switching them for medium pulse lasers.
    
    
    
    The lack of jump jet was considered a disappointment by some but there are already new
    variants in consideration. 1 variant includes the removal of the ERPPC and ER mediums for a
    lighter ER large laser and using 5 regular medium lasers instead. Lastly the last double
    heatsink was removed and the extra tonnage was used for 5 jumpjets which makes the
    Thunderstroke useful in rough terrain as well as hot drops.

Deployment:
    Currently attached to most heavy and assault companies as a forward scout, it remains to see
    how useful the Thunderstroke can be.
