Definately interesting. I might just steal this design for an up coming game. I really like using paired UAC's, and the UAC5 is a good mixture of weight/damage. They are also a great supplement to LRM's.
I'm not sure about all this 'does it feel like an Atlas' talk. because I can imagine this being a standard variant.
Nice to see a mixture of old and new tech! :) |

Its ... interesting! Doubled long range firepower compared to the AS7-D while still keeping the AC/20. Ammo is a big issue here. The Ultras go through their ammo quite fast and the LRM is empty even faster. So better try to close before your long range ammo bins run dry and even then the short range weaponry isn't that well equipped with ammo too. |

I'm not sure about the UACs here, they should be able to cause some damage when fired in conjunction with the LRMs without producing too much heat. Otherwise it's just as tough as old 3025 assaults, but the amount of ammo carried cries for being CASEed. Keep firing to empty the bins and try to get closer A.S.A.P. because the AC/20 is the weapon that kills. UACs and LRMs only brush away some armour, but they won't be that effective against anything above 70 tons. I'm not sure whether the DHSs are necessary on this design, or why there are no energy weapons that would use the heat dissipation capacity in a more efficient way. |

Nice upgrade. Doesn't quite have that Atlas feel to it but it can still dish out the punishment while taking a beating. A good variety of weapons meshed with very thick armor make this a fun ride. Not too sure about the ammo quantities, but hey, if you're not playing campaigns then you shouldn't have a problem. Runs a little hot but that can be managed easily. |

This one is cute - it is so 3050.
There is lots of dakka-dakka, which I always like. However, because the guns are ultra weapons, it does have serious ammo problems. After 10 turns of firing it will have to make do with only one SRM6.
For short and brutal engagements only. |
