A support machine in it´s truest sense. It can support at long range, it can support at short range and it can support in infantry busting but it can´t do much on its own. Only good thing on this is its armor.

A good mech for general fighting. It can stay at long range if the opposition is too heavy and the armor will let it outlast majority of light mechs. It's just fast enough to pass as a scout or a raider, so I think that this mech's place is in a light Marik lance, acting as a commander. Firepower is not great, so there is a chance that it will be ignored if fielded with heavier mechs, because it isn't easy to kill quickly.

Standard line Mech. I have never seen it in a duel, would not hold. As part of a lance it is sort of the weak link. This is not a crunched Mech. I think built more on fluff and looks. I have found a full lance of them against sort of equal forces these guys can give more then they get.
GM- Good Mech to use. Very common, nothing special. The Flamer can make it fun if you want to.

As a medium its not so great. But most 40 tonners I do not call a medium, but rather a light with a long range weapon on it.
The Hermes II has a long range weapon, and it has far superior armor to most light mechs. So put it in a light lance and use it as a light mech and it will do well against most other light mechs.
House Marik in 3925 built 32 Locust, 51 Wasp, 42 Stingers, 16 Spiders, and 8 Ciciadas a year. And 34 Hermes II. I see the Hermes II, most of the Spiders, and the Cicadas being reserved for house marik units with the majority of the Locust, Stinger, Wasps going for sale on the open markets.
This would make the Hermes II a standard sight in a House Marik light mech lance in my opinion.

No thanks, i'd rather mutiny.
This is basically the clint packing more armour instead of jump jets and losing a medium laser for a flamer.
While the clint had its jump jets to get it away from a fight, the Hermes II has to rely on its questionably heavier armour to see it through..
