I like frankenmechs! The weapons are a good mix with good firepower for a mech of this size. The large laser packs the punch and the AC is a good support weapon. An LRM for range and indirect fire, MG's for anti infantry work and the always usefull medium laser round out it's weapon load. The only thing to complain about is the rather thin armor but the fluff explains it nicely. |

Okay, I almost missed the fluff (my attention span is way too short today), which would be a shame, but what bugged me was the 'Mech itself. What I saw was a slow Dragon, which immediately sent me searching for all the extra tons that must have gone somewhere from the engine rating drop. Extra heat sinks (what for?!?), less armour. Where the hell... AH! THE LASER! This thing got me grinning. It has some decent medium to long range firepower for a brawler and can hold it's own when things get personal, although the armour is not thick enough to keep it safe in a kicking fight (so no Van Damme antics recommended). I think it could survive with more armour in place of a heatsink, but otherwise I like this thing a lot! |
