================================================================================================
Overview:
The Mongol's namesake reflects its battlefield role as a swift-moving, lightly armored
sniper, designed to engage enemies from long distances. Featuring an XL engine, M.A.S.C, and
three tons of jump jets, the Mongol can swiftly redeploy as needed.

Capabilities:
With its rare 330XL engine, the Mongol boasts impressive speeds without compromising its
firepower. The left torso features a M.A.S.C. system, enabling the Mongol to rapidly
reposition and intercept enemy units. Additionally, three tons of jump jets allow the Mongol
to navigate over obstacles or reach moderate elevations.

The Type AA4 Gauss rifle delivers pinpoint precision at extreme ranges, making the Mongol a
formidable force on the battlefield. Coupled with its high mobility, no enemy unit is truly
safe from the Mongol's strikes. Each arm is also equipped with two small lasers, capable of
swiveling 180 degrees to deter backstabbers.

However, this high mobility and firepower come at a cost of lighter armor protection for its
weight class. With only six and a half tons of standard armor, the Mongol is a "glass
cannon" unit, reserved only for the most skilled mechwarriors.

Deployment:
The Mongol operates best as part of a fast-moving flanking force. Picking off enemy units
from a distance, disrupting their formation and causing chaos. The small lasers provide
close-range defense against any enemies that manage to get too close. The Mongol's role is
to create a gap in the enemy's defenses, allowing the rest of the force to advance and
    engage.

Variants:
The Mongol S is a budget variant of the original Mongol BattleMech. Instead of an XL engine,
the Mongol S uses a standard 330 engine, which reduces its overall speed but increases its
durability. Additionally, the AA4 Gauss rifle has been replaced with a standard PPC, which
reduces its damage output but is more reliable and easier to maintain. The small lasers
remain intact. To offset the loss of mobility, the Mongol S has been fitted with an
additional ton of armor, providing it with greater protection on the battlefield.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Kaitlyn "Shadow" Lee
    Faction: Lyran Commonwealth
Kaitlyn "Shadow" Lee was a skilled mechwarrior who was trained in stealth and reconnaissance
tactics. She piloted the Mongol during the Succession Wars era as part of the Lyran
Commonwealth's reconnaissance forces. Lee was known for her ability to sneak behind enemy
lines and scout out enemy positions, using the Mongol's high mobility and M.A.S.C. system to
stay undetected. She would then report back to her commanders, using the gauss rifle to take
out key targets from long range.

    Marcus Barnes
    Faction: Federated Suns
Barnes was known for his aggressive and fearless tactics, using the Mongol's high mobility
and jump jets to get in close to enemy units and deliver devastating blows with the gauss
rifle and small lasers. Barnes was one of the few mechwarriors who could effectively pilot
the Mongol in close engagements, relying on his skill and experience to avoid enemy fire
while dealing out heavy damage. Barnes' actions in the Mongol were credited with turning the
tide in several key battles during the Succession Wars.
