Normally one of the better Clan light mechs out there, this variant of the Fire Falcon compunds its armour problem with absolutely crappy weapons.
It's going to become so much paste on the floor becuase it won't be able to do enough damage before its armour gets melted away. |

Its a useful variant. But with the Prime and B kicking around whats the point of ever using it.
Its strengths are ranged combat where it functions something like a crazy algamation of the Valkryie, Vulcan and Locust.
When it works and your rolling well with the LRM rack your golden. When it doesn't work you empty your bins and go home destroyed.
Kind of an iffy design unless you like to gamble. |

Oh dear. This was used once against me, and didn't do jack. When the armour is as light as on this 'mech, you want a great deal of punch. Or a heap of electronics, or something.
With clan tech, weapons like on this configuration are good only on very heavy fire-support machines that ride a red-line. Otherwise, why don't you just use ER-energy weapons? They have a range that is very competitive with small ACs, yet do at least 5 times the damage!
I am condemning this variant especially since it has a competitor in the much superior B variant. |

This is definately not the variant to use against IS forces. The drawn out battles with the IS would leave this 'mechs ammo bins dry before it was a tenth of the way through. Against other clan light 'mechs it's got a great chance of destroying it's opponents before taking any return fire. |

An ok light support mech. The UAC2 proves to be a nightmare for light IS mechs. The LRM10 also causes bad days for the light mechs. The ER small is a bit of a waste. Adding only point defence, which the LRM's can provide anyway.
Still, not a bad mech it has something to fall back on when the ammo's dry. Although it doesn't really want to hang around, it has pitiful armour. Even for a 25tonner. |
