I've never known the Puma to suffer very much from it's lack of jump jets, but they're nice to have nevertheless. I'd prefer more armor though. Two T.Comp slaved ER PPCs make this a real killer. |

On the surface, it looks like a copy of the Adder-puma primary, but look again. The Pouncer has jump jets, giving it superior mobility to the Adder. This mech would be equally at home in a ranged battle, or in a city knife-fight. The armor is decent, but wont stop anything bigger than an ER large laser or large pulse laser. Pulling the small laser for another half-ton of FF armor will help, but not cure, the armor problem. |

Nasty surprise, Excellent screening mech. Firepower with the heat sinks to use it. I might downgrade the PPC's to ERLLas, and use the saved weight and space for some Mlas to even out the range/damage curve. If someone gets into you face you have a flashlight (slas) to try and blind him maybe. |
