Thats the second revenge of the 14 fixed DHS´s. And this one hurts even more.
The gauss rifle is a potent weapon but with only 8 shots it would run dry in the middle of the battle.
That medium laser is by far not enough backup.
But on the other side a full salvo while jumping would get less than a third of its heat dissipation thingies busy.
Had the base chassis been equipped with only 10 DHS you would have 4 more tons to play with! |

14 DHS go to waste here. A Gauss is good to have but only 8 shots means there is no endurance.
Repod the damn thing. And use a ERPPC if u intend to snipe with this. |

Just because the Clanner make some poor pod choices doesn't mean the IS reverse engineers have to blindly follow them. This is the worst of the Clan Black Hawk's configurations- using IS equipment it gets so much worse. 8 shots and a single ML as backup? For a heavy omnimech with an XL engine? Heavy omnis are too expensive to throw away like this. The Gauss Rifle is a great weapon, but too heavy for this chassis. |

We did this already with the Nova C. The Gauss is too heavy here, and precludes the mounting of other weapons. Eight shots isn't enough ammo; when it's gone, you've got a very expensive 5/8/5 medium laser, which is pathetic. Go get some weapons and ditch this config. |
