Could be worse, but it could be a lot better, too. Long-range firepower is okay, and LB 2-X's make nice backup weapons for a sniper, but the ammo load is terrible: 12 shots per gauss! Needs more ammo, an energy weapon and somthing to cover minimum range.
Replacing one gauss rifle with an ER PPC (and some other goodies) would be a major improvement. |

Just abnout every B variant I see for the Omnis has too many heat sinks and not enough ammo for its main guns. Were they the "drunk" pods or something.
For such a good chassis this is a clossally bad move. |

Not the best offering for this omni. This is a unit that makes me wish the jump jets were pod mounted, then you could swap them out for something useful.
As a sniper, this thing is almost ideal. The gauss rifles will deal loads of damage at the extreme ranges while the LB 2s, loaded with cluster rounds, look for weak spots.
The tough part is that this mech, due to its weapons load, it has to keep targets at arms legnth while the weapons nibble away. With the low speed, thats somewhat difficult to do.
Against light mechs, this thing could be fairly effective, but medium and heavy mechs will be able to close in quicker than this mech can back off. |

A waste. You've got all that heat capacity, and you're not using it. This also does very light damage. Lose th ACs and a ton of Gauss ammo for two ER PPCs. Or lose the ACs for two ER Larges, some Gauss ammo, and backup weapons. |

I am not impressed with this 'mech. There is plenty of extra heat dissipation capability, allowing for the mounting of ER Large Lasers or ER PPCs instead of the LB-2Xs. If it were not a top of the line omnimech, I would assume this configuration was meant for solahma use only. |
