The B configuration of the Hellbringer is a fine example of how a decent chassis can be wasted by a senseless mix of weapons. Thirteen double strength freezers are left unused, because all the weapons can produce 14 points of heat at best. There is no explanation for that in fluff and I can't find a reason to use exclusively ammo dependent weapons when there is no need for such steps. Moreover these weapons are equipped with one ton of ammo each. No problem with that when I look at the SRMs, the with the AC it's acceptable, but a Gauss Rifle with eight shots is a bad joke. There is no backup for the guns, the firepower is still relatively weak. Why? Is there a problem with putting some thought to the design? This is simply another 3050 botch. |

Too ammo dependant, and trying to do too much with too little. Especially with the Hellbringer's notorious lack of armor. |

Too ammo dependent and highly reliant on the SRMs to do the killing, you will get killed fast since the armor is too light.
I would say drop the Lb-5X for an ERPPC and throw a few more tons of ammo for the Gauss. 8 shots for the main gun only is a very risky prospect.
And if it permits, the SRMs should be made Streak if possible. |

This version makes the Alpha variant look golden, 1 Guass Rifle and an LB-X 5 don't make for a good unit.
This thin armour requires you to close too much, and you'll die with this armour hoping for lucky rolls with the SRMs. The lack of ammo for the Guass also heavily limits you. So use it carefully. Still the Alpha or Prime are much better picks for your choices.
Good chassis just misused by this pod setup. |

Personally, I would strip the LB-X for an ER PPC and an extra heat sink. Lokis have to inflict as much damage as possible, given their limited armor coverage. As is, this 'mech is an easy kill. |
