I take it that LB gun on this variant is meant to be used primarily with cluster rounds to pepper the holes created by the PPC. Second ton of ammo would greatly help with this effort however, I would even prefer it to LRM ammo. Thor has superior mobility and moderate armour... well... moderate. it's still superior to standard 3025 Warhammers and Marauders mostly. It's also cool running, although it suffers in the damage department. IT can hit relatively hard if you load the LB-X with solid slugs, but it's still only moderate to low damage output if you are comparing Summoner with the other clan machines in this weight category. Overall it's fine for dueling, but to truly shine it would need more punch. |

Summoner... NIIICE :) I like the weapons load, mostly because the shotgun AC is my favorite weapon. I do remove a heat sink for a second ton of ammo when I play, so I can have a ton of slugs and a ton of cluster, but other than that this babe is perfect in every way for a 70 ton clan workhorse. |

Although a solid design for short Clan trials, but the lack of ammo for the LB 10-X is a serious drawback. The reason the LB-X autocannons are so good is their ability to switch between cluster and solid shot. With only one ton, the pilot has a hard choice to make. The firepower isn't very impressive, especially once the ammo runs low. The Prime configuration has great mobility and heat dissipation, but its weapons don't really take advantage of it. |

The good old classic Summoner. What else can I say, this thing packs a large punch and can get around fast with those jump jets. I would drop a heat sink or two and add a ton of ammo for the AC or a few medium lasers. This thing is the king of the heavies in my mind, and nothing I have ever come up against has withstood this beast of the battlefield. |

Meh, They're are better Clan OMNI variants. Most of the Thor ones included.
Use it if you want the average, don't know what you really need model. |
