Overview:
    See the [BASE] configuration for the history behind this mech.  This and the following files
    will focus more on the technical capabilities of each configuration.

Capabilities:
    At first glance the Obsidian Idol is a fairly typical assault mech.
    Maneuverability is on par with almost every 100 ton mech ever made.  Armor
    coverage is actually lighter then average with only 18.5 tons of standard armor
    covering the chassis.  What truly makes this mech is the weapons capacity.  59
    tons of available pod space allows the Obsidian Idol to carry an unmatched
    bite.
    
    Configuration A is extremely
    similar to the primary configuration.  Instead of an LB-10x a third Gauss rifle
    is added neglecting any finesse over more raw firepower.

Variants:
    In some respects it's odd to see two configurations that are so similar to each other.  And
    while they both fill the same basic roll in a Star, the difference is in preferred targets.
    The Prime with its LB-10 has an advantage against heavier mechs, vehicles, and flying units.
    The A's target of choice is actually light to medium mechs where the extra Gauss rifle is
    more likely to chop off a limb entirely.

    The United Freemen fleet was placed under emergency quarantine as well as all assets that
    have been within transit proximity to them.  It turns out there were Rats on their ships.
    This is another point of change in the timeline.  The Children of NIHM didn't survive the
    exodus in our timeline.  So now we have to be sure there are no Mice.
