If this mech was an 3050 upgrade of an existing 3025 mech i would have thought of it as an acceptable but not very good upgrade, but as a new 3055 production model it is much too weak. Too slow, too little firepower for a bracket fighter and no real advancement compared too other LRM support mech. This mech was built to scare other mech to make them running into the arms of the Anvil but i don“t think that many mechs will flee from this. There is a greater chance for mechs fleeing from an Anvil and killing the Hammer as they passed him. |

I say drop the whole LRM setup and replace them with an ERPPC, DHS and more armor.
Then you get a mech which essentially does almost the same thing.
The LRM5s have too much ammo and i say lose the Artemis for another LRM5. Dropping 1 more LRM5 ammo lets you CASE up as well.

Why this mech would ever be paired with the Anvil is a mystery to me- unless mediocrity loves company. The firepower on this mech is ludicrous: Artemis just looks silly attached to LRM-5's. 8 tons are dedicated to dealing an average of 8 points of damage. It carries ammo and has a standard engine, but no CASE. It carries extra single heat sinks when it could easily accommodate doubles. It's slow and doesn't jump and has, at best, average armor protection for 3055. |

Never sure if this mech is more useful or less useful as a target or a mech.
This mech will do well as long as you protect it and remember that although it moves 5/8 its mostly a scout mech. So don't expose it too often.
I'm not too fond of the LRM idea as the main gun for any mech let alone a scout, but artemis will help.
If your using the trio of mediums something is wrong with your scout lance though, as this mech should be fairly protected by its allies. |

This is a solid light-support 'mech. The speed is good enough to keep up with line units. In a pinch it could scout as well, but at the risk of being ambushed by faster 'mechs.
Overall, this machine compares well with it's closest rival, the Valkyrie. Six tons of armor is good on a frame this size. The LRM firepower is light, but is heavy enough to hurt lightly armored opponents, and the three medium lasers provides fairly good close-in firepower. Jump jets would be nice, but would just overheat the 'mech. |
